Chris Thornsberry
Chris Thornsberry is the Associate Director of
Adult Ministries at St. Luke’s UMC in Indianapolis,
Indiana; working full-time with
young adults and single adults. He also serves on
the leadership staff to the Later@St. Luke's multi-cultural
worship service, participating in prayer, communion
service, and preaching. He spends most of his time
interacting with members of our congregation creating
friendly, welcoming,and open environments for people to
connect, grow, serve, and lead. He is a 2002 graduate of
Campbellsville University with a degree in Christian
Education and is currently studying at Trinity Evangelical
Divinity School for his M.A. in Christian Studies. He is also
the Director of Single Adult Ministry for the North Central
Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church and a member
of the Christian Educators Fellowship.
Chris is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and has served on
the Campus Ministry staff at Kent State University and the
University of Akron. He has also served as an Associate
Pastor of First Baptist Church of Aurora in Cleveland, Ohio
and Student Pastor at Gobin UMC in Greencastle, Indiana.
He is passionate about collecting baseball memorabilia,
walking, writing, and preaching God's Word. You’ll find
him spending most of his time with family and friends
gathered in conversation and community.
