three hole paper

3-hole paper is essentially any sheet of paper with three holes on either side of the sheet. They are known best for having the following: a header, multiple lines for writing, and 3-hole paper on the left hand side. For American's especially, the holes are generally on the left hand side, in order to aid right-handed writers. 3-hole paper has these holes to enable their placement into binders, or other encasings that are fit to hold multiple sheets.
