Meet Virginia
I've lived in Washington state my entire life, growing up in a small town along the I-5 corridor and settling in Seattle in 2009. While I love the pacific northwest with all my heart, I also love to get away as much as possible. I've traveled some of the world, and I want to see so much more!
I am proud that my name, Virginia Frances, comes from my two grandmothers. If it weren't for them, I wouldn't be here, so ya know that's kind of a big deal. They were both strong, independent women who inspire me even though I barely knew them. Virginia explored Europe, by herself, in the 1950s, assisted in spy operations for the U.S. military and cooked amazing southern food. Frances raised six amazing children, performed song and dance well into her 80s and was THE QUEEN OF THRIFT. I like to think she passed her crown on to me.
I got my start as a blogger in 2013 when I wrote several guest posts for Have You Nerd, a rad nerdista blog that was founded by my BFF. You can check out my HYN blog posts here, which includes a bunch of nerdy stuff as well as the first series I did on thrifting which inspired me to start Thrifting With Vee.
