Thulisile Miya

Hi, I’m Thulisile. I’m a Bachelor of Arts (political studies & International relations) graduate and Bachelor of Education (FET and Senior phase) student, I am passionate about education and societal issues that impact our development and learning as individuals. As an aspiring teacher I'm a firm believer in the pedagogy of care and ubuntu because, in the words of Maya Angelou “People may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel”. Therefore I believe all individuals (young and old) should be treated with respect. As an English major, I'm passionate about language, reading and writing. As a Learning Support Educator in training, assisting learners with neurodevelopmental learning disorders discover their talents and thrive in life is a cause that is close to my heart. In essence, I'm a proud social science nerd.
