Aloha! Welcome to Lifestyles with Tia. Close friends usually call me “T.” Soon you will find out that I’m much more than your average island gal. I am currently living the city life as a mom and expanding my horizons as an artist, author, and coach in Southern California. For many years, my stories have remained suppressed beneath the surface like a dormant volcano, until a higher calling compelled me to share my story in the limelight. Recently, a great invitation led me to share my testimony at the acclaimed Colorado State University, where I traveled with young adults for a conference. People from all around the world were gathered at this event, and I was reluctant and nervous about sharing my unusual story; I would’ve felt more comfortable sharing a part of me through music, a genre I have more familiarity with. Instead, I was asked to openly feather through the pages of my life. And so I spoke in spite of myself, and hearing from many people how my story had inspired them, the outcome was truly gratify.

I was amazed that my story inspired others, and that made me want to share more of my stories through music and writing. This is how the site came alive as I reconciled my love for journaling from my youth.

I was raised in an unusual setting: a political underworld of a Japanese-Korean family. Childhood experiences led me to walk a very distinctive life. Then, as I grew up, my long-term marriage created a dramatic novella of its own, and as the pages of my life continued to unfold, my first book, “The Journey of Princess Tia,” was born.
