Taner Icten
Taner Içten is born in 1964 in Polatlı. He left Anadolu University College of Economics in fourth year and enrolled at College of Communications Sciences (CCS) at the same university in 1985. He is among the second year alumni of CCS where he was the first student with full scholarship and also worked at the Rectorate Public Relations Department for four years. He started his journalism post-graduate degree at Anadolu Univ. and finished at Istanbul Univ.
After graduating he worked as a faculty for a short period and then moved to Istanbul in 1990 and started working at Manajans Thompson. He worked there until 1999 as a Media Director He took part in the initial establishment of Mindshare by the merger of the media departments of Manajans Thompson and Moran O&M and assumed the responsibilities of the annual media strategies and buying of the country's the biggest advertisers. However due to the delays in the official founding of Mindshare he resigned from his position.
Right after his resignation from Manajans Thompson he joined Hürriyet Newspaper's Advertising Group accepting their proposal. At Hürriyet Group where he worked for five years he took the positions of Member of Executive Board and Deputy Head of Advertising Group. He managed the development and organization of Hurriyet Media Awards (Kırmızı). He carried out the reorganization of agency – advertiser remuneration conditions and system, agency and advertising sales group performance and incentive strategy and projects. In 2005 he resigned from his duties.
Considering several proposals and then accepting the one from (by then named) Çukurova Medya, he joined the group as Advertising Group Head, responsible for all the medium entities. At the end of the sixth month, due to internally planned but never realized works he left the group.
Two months later he became the Brand Marketing Consultant at Zaman Media Group. At this position he, in chronological order, carried out the restructuring of the advertising group, agency – client relations and corporate structure of the group. He worked on a project related to the newspaper's independent international auditing. In addition to his position as Brand Marketing Consultant he also took the position of CMO of English language Todays Zaman Newspaper.
He left to establish his own business A.M.A.C. (Marketing Investment Management) these responsibilities in August 2007 to now. A.M.A.C. was affiliated with Billetts w
