Tierney Gallagher

Clemson, South Carolina

Tierney Gallagher is a graduate student at Clemson University, earning her M.A. in professional communication with a concentration in strategic communication. Since coming to Clemson, she has been involved in a variety of opportunities. She currently serves as the graduate assistant in Clemson's Graduate School Publications Office and also works as a graduate intern for the Office of Communications and Public Relations in the College of Health, Education and Human Development. She volunteers as a writing adviser and editor for the Clemson Greek Media Department, which produces the Greek Gazette. In the past, Tierney has been a staff member of the Multimedia Authoring Teaching & Research Facility, worked as a Writing Center tutor and served as the public information associate for the Charles H. Houston Center.

Tierney holds a B.A. in communication with a concentration in journalism and minors in Spanish and international studies from High Point University. While at High Point, she worked as the Campus Chronicle's opinion editor and a Spanish tutor. She was also Alpha Chi's public relations chair, a presidential scholar, junior marshal, social and risk management chair for Phi Mu sorority, peer mentor, Panhellenic recruitment counselor and a member of several honors societies.

Her professional career outside of academia includes serving as a public relations intern at McNeill Lehman and Devine + Partners, and working as an academic dean’s assistant for Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth. Foll
