Tierra Carpenter

I am currently a junior in college, using my on-campus resources to gain media experience.

I hold multiple positions with WSIU River Region Evening Editionstudent television newscast, and previously wrote for theDaily Egyptianstudent newspaper.

I am also president of the student chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), and we create an event recap series on Youtube called, Campus Buzz.

With all of this experience and anything I learn in the future, I hope to gain the knowledge that it takes to be a successful multimedia journalist.

I don’t know what the future will hold, but I know writing and reporting will be involved. I am open to any opportunities to work in media, including internships.
