Tierra Johnson

7Hello, my name is Tierra Johnson and I am a Junior at Valdosta State. I am currently an Excersie Physiolgy major but Im going to get my Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Being a nurse comes with a lot you have to be a peoples person because this is a field in working with people. I would love to be a nurse because i take it very seriously, my grandmother died of cancer and i feel she still could have been here because her nurse ended up giving her the wrong medicine to make her blood pressure go up and it brought her cancer back. My grandmother was diagnosed with leukemia and it really hurt my heart to see her go through so much pain. Being a nurse you have to be on your job and not saying her nurse did it intentially but you have to make sacrifices of being a nurse because anything can happen you have someones life in your hands. The picture I have in my background is my family and my grandmother, we took the picture a couple months before she died and we al got tatoos symbolizing her death. In the end my grandmother wanted me to succeed and get my degree in nursing and that is what I am going to do. I want to become a nurse and change people lives, i feel being a nurse is important because you can make someone feel better in the end and I love listening to peoples problems and taking care of people im close to. I feel becoming a nurse you get close to all of your patients so in the end you should want to help them. There are alot of sterotypes when it comes to nursing, people feel doctors have more advantages, they do more, or they get paid more. Well i feel a nurse can do anything a doctor can do!
