In short, I'm a big believer in doing what you love. Live life fulfilling your most passionate desires. Being outdoors and living an active life is my biggest passion. I am striving to reach a career that will allow me to stay active and still have flexibility to spend a weekend hiking in the Smoky Mountains or simply go for a daily run through downtown Knoxville.
Another passion of mine: helping others. It just makes sense to me that if you have the ability to help someone, to make their life better, and to give them one good moment in an otherwise horrible day why not do it? The feeling I get from helping someone in true need is priceless.
Where does this all lead? Physical therapy. Getting involved in physical therapy allows me to bring all my biggests passions together every day. I am staying active. I am helping others become active. I am guiding others to gain their mobility back in order to carry on their normal life. It is my passion, my life, all I am striving for.
In the present, I am a junior at the University of Tennessee. I am in my first stage of becoming a physical therapist: taking all the right classes, joining all the right clubs, getting shadowing hours in, and doing the best I can to make the grades necessary for getting accepted into PT school.
