I am currently a second-year student at Ryerson University and I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the Creative Industries, specializing in both the media business and graphic communications modules.

With my minimal work experience, I have been searching for opportunities that can let me set foot into the workplace. Even though I got a position for the Media Internship Summer Program at Publicis Media, COVID-19 hit and the program got cancelled. Therefore, I took a course on Concert and Festival Management instead, where I learned the basics of budgeting and details of planning a concert tour.

I have always been passionate about social media marketing and how to utilize it, as well as graphic design, hence my choice for my program’s modules. I have a goal before 2021: To combine both my passions the best way possible into launching a tiny business on Instagram, specializing in prints and stickers! I have designed a few graphics so far and still have a lot of ideas in mind. I cannot wait for this project/ side hustle to begin soon! Other than that, I recently got into fashion the past year, so I have a public Instagram page where I actively share photos of my outfits and current fashion trends! I have plans to grow both these pages as I am currently taking a course that teaches me about social media.

I plan on working towards the event planning and management field. Whether it’s wedding planning or festival management, I am interested! My goal is to complete a series of planning and management courses before I graduate so I can be able to understand the concepts of this field before entering into the real workforce. As for one of my biggest career goals, I plan to gain experience so I can start a PR or event planning company in the future.
