Intro
To some of you, my headline might be a contradiction. Well, not the Registered Nurse and Diabetes Educator part, but probably the photographer-in-training part. Over the years, I've come to love and appreciate the art and science associated with capturing life's beautiful moments, and want to be able to share that with the world.
So who am I?
I'm a Registered Nurse with more than 5 years experience, in both the hospital and community health settings. I'm a Certified Diabetes Educator, with a specialty in Adult Education in Diabetes management and complication prevention, and have recently received my certification in Community Health Nursing.
Education:
Graduate of Ryerson University, with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I'm currently in the Certificate for Mental Health and Addictions Program at Ryerson University, and a candidate to write the exam to become a certified community health nurse through the Canadian Nurses Association.
Global Experience:
I've had the opportunity and privilege to volunteer in Tanzania with an amazing organization, Canada-Africa Community Health Alliance (www.cacha.ca), providing free medical services in rural villages. I also had the chance to document my experience there.
