Kebonyemme Tihelo

Student in Johannesburg, Westdene

I am currently a third-year Bachelor of Education student, Ujenius club and a golden key member at the University of Johannesburg. My majors include Mathematics and Lifesciences. I am passionate about these subjects and want to inspire learners not to fear them. Mathematics is not inherited; it can be done by anyone. I am very much interested in the integration of technology and artificial intelligence in the classroom and want to meaningfully participate in the 4IR era. This is one of the reasons why I joined the Centre for Advanced Learning Technologies in Science, Technology,
Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (CALTSTEAM) program at my university.

My aim is to integrate Education 4.0 principles to prepare learners for the future. My long-term goal is to become Mathematics professor and contribute to Mathematics research. I believe that a teacher who wants change should be adaptable and be a lifelong learner.
