I don't have a life, I create one... Images in context
I play with images in real time using the nature of reflective surfaces like glass, mirrors, etc... situated in space within a construction, blurring the line between what is ( reality) and what is not ( Images), in order to provoke the viewer’s perception. The images created are out of my control, and it’s all the other elements that I am learning to manage instead (light, space, symmetry, movement of the public, etc...). Here, images are not fixed on a support, but are very much about the present moment, and can provoke new ways of connecting. The art work is organised to be a support for action and reaction from the public-- and not just something to look at. Strangely enough with those mass produced reflective surfaces, I learned that we can’t control what is becoming visible in front of our eyes, and that the real support is the viewer themselves. I guess it’s the ideas and emotions that the viewer develops that counts, more then the visual object/product.
