Hands-on experience in a post-conflict country; comprehensive education; work experience in multicultural environments; and good listening skills and critical thinking, helped me in pursue of my passion and a vision of actively working towards development of a culture or peace and partnership in Serbia and the world; particularly focusing on the youth problems, gender inequality, education, and peace processes.

As a student with a comprehensive and enduring human recourse management educational background, I always had the need to expand my knowledge and improve my approaches by researching and taking on a variety of courses: International Development, Managing Global Organizations, Photography, Contemporary Security Issues, International Finance Management, Organizational Change and Development, Modern Dance, among others. This opened my perspective on cultural, economic, and political aspects of development and peace.

To build on my skills, I worked as project and grant writer assistant in NGOs on the transformation of Serbia and the Balkan region towards EU and Euro-Atlantic membership. Most recently, I continued to pursue my interests through research in peace and sustainable development at the United Nations University (Tokyo). During the past two years, my research have been focusing on feminism, gender analysis and MDGs in peace and development, thus this challenged my thoughts and made me think about how to empower people to critically think. Additionally, in the summer of 2012 I completed an internship at United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs as part of the gender advisory team.

I believe that there has to be a change of current thinking and doing ‘business as usual’. I finished extensive 7-months kanthari international leadership course for empowering social visionaries and Kerala, India.

Currently, I am creating and developing an initiative Youth Energy of Serbia-YES to empower and support young social visionaries and change-makers in Serbia.
