Pilot, Engineer, and Instructor Tilak Ramaprakash currently functions as a Captain with Air India in Mumbai. Mr. Ramaprakash has lived in many cities around the world in fulfillment of employment. He spent just over a year in London as a Captain of a Boeing 727 for International Jet Services. Prior to that, he was a Captain, First Officer, and Flight Engineer for Custom Air Transport in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Tilak Ramaprakash also lived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, functioning as a Flight Mechanic and Flight Engineer for Al Anwa Trading Establishment.
Between 2006 and 2008, Tilak Ramaprakash completed a number of short-term contracts. In New Dehli, he captained a Boeing 767 for Air Sahara. In Seattle, Mr. Ramaprakash worked for Bel-Air Aviation. He also functioned as a Captain of a Boeing 757 for Golden International Airlines in Kuwait during the company’s short run. In Bangkok, he flew for SkyStar Airways, which had a fleet of four Boeing 767s. Finally, Tilak Ramaprakash operated Boeing 737s with SpiceJet in New Dehli. Recently voted best low-cost airline, SpiceJet flies to 22 distinct locations in India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal.
Tilak Ramaprakash earned his credentials from Purdue University, which currently offers 210 undergraduate and graduate programs. The institution has produced several Nobel Prize winners, Fortune 500 executives, professional football players, and Pulitzer Prize winners. At the school, Mr. Ramaprakash earned an A.A.S. in Aviation Maintenance Technology and a B.S. in Aviation Technology. He also completed courses through Alteon Training, which provides instruction for pilots, technicians, and flight operators. In addition to flying, Tilak Ramaprakash enjoys scuba diving and belongs to the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association.
