Whitney Tillman

I’m Whitney. I have an enormous soft spot for animals. I rescued my cat Binx from a local animal shelter. When I walked in the animal shelter, he escaped from his cage and ran right to my feet and proceeded to climb up the leg of my jeans with his little claws. I knew immediately that he would be going home with me. At the time, I was not allowed to have a cat, so I had to trick my parents into falling in love with him so that they would decide to keep him. Right before my mom got home from work, I placed Binx under our porch steps. My mom walked in the door with baby Binx in her arms and I knew right then that I would be able to keep him. Since the day I brought Binx home, he has become a beloved member of the family and my parents are well aware that I brought Binx home from the humane society. I play the piano. I have played the piano for 12 years and I love to play classical music. Debussy is my favorite composer and my favorite song is Claire de Lune. I have performed in a local piano competition in my hometown of Moultrie, GA each year for the past 5 years and have won each competition.
