Tim Dawson is a British writer, playwright and script consultant based in Manchester.

His latest work, The Red Prince, a one-person satirical comedy directed by Susan Nickson and performed by Benjamin May, premiered in London in February 2026 to four star reviews from Everything Theatre and A Young(ish) Perspective, and praise from notable industry figures such as writer James Cary and director Ed Bye. He is currently expanding it into a 90 minute piece, in collaboration with Susan Nickson.

Since 2023 he has been editor of BCG Pro, the professional platform of British Comedy Guide, where he also runs script consultancy services and writers' room experiences.

His other credits include Not For Turning (BBC Radio 4, published by Penguin), Lady Christina (Big Finish / Doctor Who), Breaking The News (BBC Radio Scotland) and Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet of Crisps (BBC). He also co-created The House, a participative audio sitcom for BCG Pro developed with former BBC Creative Head of Comedy Micheál Jacob.
