Tim Mislansky
Hi
My name is Tim Mislansky and I’m passionate about Credit Unions and especially about how Credit Unions should be helping more members buy homes. I believe that Credit Unions are the best source for Americans to get a home loan. We’re locally owned and operated and we have cooperative principles. Unfortunately, only about 7% of Americans seem to believe this (based on industry market share numbers). I’m out to change that.
I’m Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at Wright-Patt Credit Union in Fairborn, OH. I also am President of myCUmortgage, the Credit Union’s wholly-owned mortgage subsidiary that helps over 170 credit unions help their members with mortgage lending.
I went to Miami University in Oxford, OH and got two Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance. I got two because half way through my junior year I realized I didn’t want to be an accountant! While at Miami, I was introduced to Credit Unions through the First Miami University Student Federal Credit Union.
Now, twenty years later, I’ve spent my career dedicated to Credit Unions and have been fortunate have lots of great opportunities that include serving on Fannie Mae Credit Union Advisory Councils, serving on the Prime Alliance Advisory Board in the past and the current Mortgage Cadence Advisory Board. I also am involved in my local Habitat for Humanity and served on the advisory board for the HomeOwnership of Greater Dayton. I’ve served on the Ohio Credit Union Foundation board and Filene Research Institute’s i3 program. And now I serve as a Board Member for American Credit Union Mortgage Association and CU Realty, Inc.
I’ve been happily married for almost 15 years to my wife Julie and have two great kids, Joe & Mary, who occupy most of my non-working time. I spend a lot of my free time following my beloved, but highly dysfunctional Cleveland sports team.
