Tim started on Double Jay in 1976 when he critiqued the breakfast announcer on air. He was invited to show what he could do and the next day started his radio career on the breakfast program. Double Jay turned into triple j and Tim presented all shifts across the day and night in his 15 years there. Tim started as music director at ABC Radio National in 1992, he went on to become the Editor of Presentation & Production and is now the Editor, Music & Presentation. He has had a new music program, Sound Quality, on Radio National on Friday nights since 1995.

Tim has been on the Board of Sydney community radio station, FBi since it's inception in 2003.

Tim listens to music, loves the radio, rides a bike and searches out new food and music (and sometimes takes photos of any of the above).
