Tim Tapio
Raeford, North Carolina
I was born long ago in a small rural are of Washington state. After I was born, my father had to quit farming and get a regular job because I ate so much. I remember wearing hand-me-downs and eating something called "hard-tack", the closest thing I can think of is Rye Crisp...and fresh, raw cow's milk which I hated because I didn't like cream, and there was always cream on the top.
Now I am a lot older and I moved from Washington to another, used to be quite rural, area outside of Raeford, North Carolina. I live about 5 miles from the Ft. Bragg Army Installtion. I learned electronics in the Navy, back when electron tubes were still used and transistors were the new kid on the block.
My interests now center around photography and video. I have a large stack of books and am trying to improved. I recently retired and now have much time to pursue it. I am trying to get a small photo and video business going but am finding I have to cut down to one or the other, I just can't do both as a one person show.
Right now I am getting heavily involved in macrophotography. I'm exploring different textures and materials and have several potted plants I will be setting up. I hope to get some really great photos posted in a few days.
