Hi there, I'm Tim. I work in North Yorkshire as a Biodiversity Officer and Ecologist. I'm often found outdoors, smartphone in hand, capturing nature's beautiful details and textures or spotting birds. In the garden I enjoy having my hands in the earth and striving for the perfect mix of greens and browns in my compost.

I love a good flat white and I like my flapjack soft and sticky. I love the Scottish mountains and get to climb them sporadically. I have a soft spot for wetlands in general and peatlands in particular. I am a stickler for punctuation so mind how you use those apostrophes please!

As an adoptive parent I'm used to endless questions about the world around us. I generally have an answer up my sleeve for most things. Being a Yorkshireman, frugality comes naturally to me and I am full of tips for saving money, should you ever want to ask. Oh and by the way, I'm a cat person.

I'd love you to read my blog, which you can visit by clicking on the button above. The one helpfully marked 'Read my blog'. If it makes you smile that would make my day.
