Tim Cole
Public Speaker, Writer, and Consultant in Sankt Michael im Lungau, Österreich
Greetings, I’m Tim Cole
I became the first fulltime Internet journalist in Germany when I launched “Internet Report”, an industry newsletter, in 1994. In 1995, I started an online column which is by now the longest-running blog in German. A native of the U.S., my articles, commentaries and columns have appear in some of the most prestigious German business magazines, newspapers, computer magazines, and online periodicals (“infocomma.de”). Together with my friend Ossi Urchs I anchored the television show “eTalk” for n-tv (a CNN subsidiary). From 1998 to 2000 I was editor of the Internet business magazine “NET-Investor”. As an author of widely-read books (“Success Factor Internet”, “The Customer Cartel”, “Enterprise 2020”, "Digital Transformation"), as well as a consultant and frequent public speaker, I am involved in an ongoing dialogue with European and U.S. leaders in business, politics and finance about the future relationship between business and technology. I was also one of the founders of KuppingerCole Ltd., a German analyst group focusing on issues of digital identity and identity management, where I lead the North American office. Recently, I became the editor-in-chief of Smart Industry - the IoT Business Magazine.
