Tim Walker

I grew up in Grand Blanc, Michigan in a wonderful adopted home with 2 great parents and 1 great older sister. I took to any sport that my parents could get me in. After graduating High School in 1989 I joined the US Air Force after serving 4 years in defence of Operation Desert Storm I returned to civilian life. Not knowing what to do as a career, my brother-in-law suggested that I should turn pro in golf. So in August of 1998 I did just that. I tried my hand at some mini tours and realized that, that life is much harder than it seems. After working in the South Carolina and Michigan Sections of the PGA for around 10 years I decided it was time for a change. In 2006 I accepted an IT position with the State of Texas. I married my beautiful wife Kelley in 2009 and my awesome son was born on April 10, 2010, he is the light of my life and my reason for being. He gives me inspiration to raise out of bed every morning. And there you have my title... Athlete, nerd, father.
