Timand Bates

Timand Bates is an education leader with extensive experience in teaching, administration, and program management. He holds an M.A. in Teaching of English from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a B.A. in Languages and Literature from Bard College.

As the Program Manager for the Open Society University Network (OSUN), Timand Bates managed an $850k grant to deliver synchronous liberal arts courses to 45 institutions worldwide, achieving impressive growth in student enrollment and faculty participation.

At Bard College, Timand Bates served as Associate Dean of Students and Assistant Dean of Students, focusing on student success, diversity, and crisis management. His teaching experience spans roles at the Bard Prison Initiative and the American University of Central Asia, where he developed and taught courses for diverse learner populations.

Timand's publications and presentations highlight his expertise in global classroom experiences and innovative educational practices, reflecting his commitment to enhancing education for all students.
