An Eastern Collegiate judo champion at the United States Military Academy at West Point, Kansas resident Tim Carlin graduated from the National institution in 1982 and subsequently earned a master's degree in international relations from Boston University. Tim Carlin spent more than two decades in the US Army and Kansas National Guard before retiring from service as a colonel in 2006. During this time, he worked in senior capacities for Techonomic, Inc., Conoco Phillips, and PepsiCo.
Upon completing his military service, Mr. Carlin shifted his professional interest to the financial services sector. He spent more than a dozen years as an advisor and limited partner at a prominent firm. Since 2019, he has worked at V Wealth Advisors. Among other areas, he has experience helping families with multi-generational wealth management needs, as well as business owners and corporate executives.
Outside of his professional endeavors, he is a past president of the West Point Society of Greater Kansas City and a trustee on the Command and General Staff College Foundation. Along with his wife Karen Carlin, he supports a range of nonprofits including those dedicated to supporting foster children and individuals experiencing homelessness.
