Tim Coffield is a practicing attorney in Charlottesville, Virginia. In 2012 he founded Coffield PLC, his solo legal practice providing aggressive and personalized legal representation to individuals and businesses in central and western Virginia.

Tim Coffield was a co-class counsel in a class action lawsuit that involved employees of a local restaurant chain known as Panera Bread. In 2016, he represented a group of plaintiffs in a contract dispute.
The case resulted in a multi-million dollar judgment for the class members. Tim Coffield also argued successfully before a panel of the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. In another case, he was able to successfully overturn a partial ruling in a civil rights case.
Tim Coffield was able to obtain a jury verdict in favor of the class members in a case under the Americans With Disabilities Act. He also argued before a panel of the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. This resulted in a positive result for the case.

Before he became an attorney and created Coffield PLC, Tim attended the University of Virginia School of Law. In 2010 he worked for Trout Unlimited, a national water conservation organization as Law Clerk for the California Water Project. The following year of law school, he was a Law Fellow in the Eastern Conservation Program at Trout Unlimited.
Tim Coffield assisted with legal and regulatory matters concerning the impact of natural gas development on aquatic habitats and worked on the advocacy side of the issue as well.
