Tim C. Vander Welle

A finance guy who knows what balance is all about – and not just on a balance sheet. With over 25 years of financial analysis, corporate reporting and project accounting experience in manufacturing, aerospace, high-tech, construction and in the public sector, he also has 30 years experience as a part-time+ entrepreneur. Tim believes in sharing his skills and experience with the community and has a 30-year volunteer career.

Since starting Daleview Business Services Inc. in 1983, he has assisted thousands of individuals, businesses and corporations to plant seeds, take root, grow and then flourish.Providing tax services for individuals, small business and corporations, he also prepares business plans and provides accounting and money coaching services.

He finds volunteering rewarding and encourages others to get involved as a way to build community, gain experience, learn, network and have fun. His experience includes 22 years with Canada Revenue Agency Volunteer Tax Program as a preparer assisting the low-income population. He began coaching sports teams at age 17 and hasn’t stopped – this year he is now coaching his 40 team. In 2009, he was honoured in the Hockey Hall of Fame for his 30-year accomplishments in coaching hockey. Other volunteer activities include the development of an environment fair and finance support within a local not-for-profit school. He is currently the Chair (Foundation) at a not-for-profit, senior’s care community after serving 2 years on their Foundation Board of Directors.

Tim believes Canada is full of opportunity and his parents were entrepreneurs as well. Tim’s parents arrived in Canada from Holland in their thirties in 1954 with two children. With very little money and speaking only Dutch, they had a dream of owning a dairy farm – which they did within 8 months! Tim enjoys playing hockey, guitar and music.
