Tim Faraone
The son of Colonel Themistocles “Tim” H. Faraone, Tim Faraone III currently serves as an investment professional at a private company based in South County, Rhode Island; there, he oversees a range of investments in a very hands-on position. He also belongs to the police reserve. Outside of his work, Tim Faraone is dedicated to animal welfare and rape victims’ rights organizations, as well as child welfare support and senior citizen advocacy. He volunteers at the YMCA, working both as a self-defense teacher for women and a children’s camp instructor. Tim Faraone also assists at a local rape crisis center. A dedicated athlete, Tim Faraone enjoys personal fitness and spends his time boating, playing football, snorkeling, and practicing self-defense techniques. Tim Faraone comes from a family that has long demonstrated its dedication to the state of Rhode Island and the country as a whole. His father, Col. Tim Faraone, Jr., was honored posthumously in 1998 by a House Resolution in the State of Rhode Island for his distinguished service during World War II. A native Rhode Islander, Col. Faraone worked for several years as a professional engineer before joining the National Guard and Army Reserve. When World War II broke out, Col. Faraone served in Italy, Africa, France, and Germany. His brave conduct in a number of key battles earned him five Battle Stars and a Bronze Star Medal, as well as the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, the American Defense Service Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. After returning from his military service, Col. Faraone served in the Army Reserve and also as the Chief Military Aid to Governor John H. Chafee before passing away in late 1963. Tim Faraone III studied at Arizona State University and Rhode Island College. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and belongs to the American Meteorological Society.
