Dr. Tim Gener
Dr. Tim Gener was born on December 3, 1964. A pastor-theologian, he has undergraduate degrees in theology (B.Th., FEBIAS College of the Bible, Magna cum Laude) and philosophy (B.A. Trinity College). He was a pastor for six years in the Phils. before he left for North America in 1994 to pursue graduate studies in theology. Previous to his studies at Fuller Seminary, he took his M.Phil. (with concentration on Contextual Theology) at the Institute for Christian Studies (Toronto, Canada). Ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Tim has also served as an elder at the Hillcrest Christian Church (Toronto, Canada) and Pasadena Christian Church (Pasadena, Ca.) He was 2001 Global Scholar for Missions at the First Presbyterian Church, Berkeley, California. Prior to being appointed as president of ATS, he serves as Associate Dean for Faculty and as a professor of Theology also at the Asian Theological Seminary, Q.C. Philippines. He is also member of the Theological Commission of the Alliance of Bible Christian Communities of the Philippines. Dr. Tim is married to Caroline Romasanta – Gener and they have two young daughters, Mia Isabel and Chelsea Marie, & the youngest is a boy named Emile.
