Tim Handley

Tim is a primary school teacher, teaching year 4 in a large primary school in the East of England. Tim is passionate about parental engagement, as well as using the internet to it's full potential in the classroom (and beyond.)

Tim has been asked to speak at a range of events and conferences, including leading a LearnLive seminar at BETT 2012 (accompanied by 5 children) focusing on how the internet can be used to engage parents and children. He has also lead sessions, entitled 'Putting the 'c' back into ICT' for trainee teachers. In addition, Tim is a passionate user of Google Apps for Edu, and has supported schools in making the best use of these tools.

Tim is also currently on the Mathematics Specialist Teacher Program (MaST), has a mathematics leadership role in school and is enthusiastic about fostering a true mathematical understanding through relevant problem solving and contextual maths activities.

Tim has also written for a range of publications, including TES New Teachers. He is the editor of the successful PGCE Survival Guide, and is currently compiling the 'NQT Survival Guide'.
