Tim Hufnagel

As Co-founder & CEO, Tim brings nearly 20 years of sales, marketing and technology experience to the jumbbit team. Having started his career as an Analyst on Wall Street at Merrill Lynch, Tim was exposed early in his career to emerging technology and enterprise adoption trends.

After a successful tenure at Merrill Lynch, Tim left the firm to join SunGard Data Systems where he was responsible for enterprise new business sales supporting some of the largest enterprise clients in the world. It was at SunGard that he developed a passion for customer advocacy, and the importance of providing great customer service.

As one of the earliest members of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) sales team, Tim helped build the foundation for the business development in the eastern part of the United States. Under his leadership, several well-known global brands adopted the cloud for the first time.

While at AWS, Tim was presented with an opportunity to rejoin SunGard Availability Services (now Sungard AS) to help lead the sales organization. Tim’s hands-on style of leadership resulted in revenue growth and earned his team the top sales team award worldwide.

Over the past couple years, Tim and his teams found themselves confronted by a common set of customer challenges related to cyber security and data protection. Observing a gap in the market for an enterprise-grade data protection service to protect against ransomware, insider threat and data integrity, in 2018 Tim set out with co-founder Adam DeMichele to build a new type data security platform for the enterprise. This platform is called jumbbit.

Tim lives in Connecticut with his wife and three children. He graduated from Fordham University where he played Ice Hockey, and heis life-long New York Yankees fan.
