Timothy Ireland
I am a Civil and Environmental Engineering Student at Mississippi State University and will be graduating in December 2011. I am am seeking full time employment in the field of civil engineering. My particular interests include structural and geotechnical engineering.
During my time at State, I participated in the cooperative engineering program. Through this program, I gained almost a year and a half of work experience with the United States Army Corps of Engineers. While at the Corps, I assisted staff engineers with the structural design for a wide variety of projects. I also provided vital front-line assistance during the Corps' recent flood fight efforts. My experience with the Corps has provided me with an understanding of a wide variety of real-world issues which impact the design and construction processes.
Throughout college, I have been actively involved in Reformed University Fellowship, where I serve on the leadership team. I have also devoted much of my time to a variety of service endeavors, including a Bible Study for underprivileged children.
In my remaining free time, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, and relaxing. An avid Mississippi State fan, I also throuoghly enjoy both watching and playing sports.
