Tim James Law

After earning a juris doctor from the University of South Dakota School of Law, attorney Tim James worked as an instructor of business law and legal research at National College in Rapid City, South Dakota while serving as a law clerk with the United States District Court for the District of South Dakota, also in Rapid City. His initial practice of law was as an associate with Brady Reade & Johnson in Yankton and with the Chicago-based Anderson, McDonald, Miller & Tabis. Tim served as business manager for the Santee Sioux Tribe and taught at Nebraska Indian Community College. Tim James works with James Law, P.C., in Yankton, where he focuses on medical malpractice cases.

Through James Law, he has won settlements in a number of medical cases against clinics and surgical facilities, including cases against Yankton Medical Clinic and Avera hospitals. In addition, he has prosecuted cases in the area of accounting and legal malpractice and against insurance companies, businesses, and local and national banks.
