Dr. Tim Love, MD

Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. Tim Love graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1979. The same year, Dr. Tim Love enrolled at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, earning his medical degree in 1983. After receiving his certification from the National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Tim Love began a general surgery internship with the Oklahoma Teaching Hospitals. He worked in this position for two years before receiving a yearlong fellowship in conjunction with Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts General Hospital to perform cardiovascular surgery research. In 1986, Dr. Tim Love returned to the Oklahoma Teaching Hospitals as a Resident. During this time, Dr. Tim Love began writing articles on oxygenation in cardioplegia, publishing them in such respected medical periodicals as The Annals of Thoracic Surgery and The Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. Dr. Tim Love also gave a lecture on the transfusion of pre-donated, autologous blood in elective cardiac surgery for the Southwestern Surgical Congress in San Diego, California. By 1988, Tim Love, MD rose to become the Chief Resident of General and Vascular Surgery at the Oklahoma Teaching Hospitals. He held this position for one year before shifting his focus to plastic surgery. Taking on a residency at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Tim Love began giving presentations on lower extremity and foot reconstruction for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Grand Rounds at Emory University. Additionally, Dr. Tim Love held speaking engagements on the subject of bone composite free flaps for the Jurkiewicz Society plastic surgery organization and the Georgia Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Tim Love stayed with Emory Healthcare until 1991, leaving to become an Associate with the Center for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Orlando, Florida. The following year, Dr. Tim Love returned to Oklahoma. Settling in Oklahoma City, Tim Love, MD established his own surgery practice and currently serves in this capacity. Dr. Tim Love is licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision. He holds memberships in several medical organizations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Lipoplasty Society of North America, the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, and the American Medical Association.
