Timothy R. McJunkin is a multi-talented culinary chef, performing singer, dancer, and actor. As a native New Yorker Timothy enjoys all things culture especially fine art and dining, Broadway and theater, music and fashion. Timothy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management and has worked in the food and hospitality industry for over nine years.
Timothy began his formal culinary training in High School and joined the Culinary Academy and C-CAP (Career through Culinary Arts Training). He later was recognized by August Martin High School and awarded the title Chef of the Year 2006 and again in his senior year, Chef of the year 2007. Timothy also contributed his developing skill set as a volunteer for several non-profit organizations which helped to benefit the hunger needs of the less fortunate.
Timothy was awarded a scholarship to the CIA Culinary Institute of America and later competed in the C-CAP Senior cooking competition where he was awarded a full 2-year scholarship to the Art Institute of NYC where he earned his Associates Degree in Culinary Management (double major Culinary Arts & Restaurant Management). In 2011, he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management from Monroe College.
Timothy’s professional work experience in the culinary industry began with his scholastic and honors requirements which allowed him to work with Morgan Stanley, Restaurant Associates and a host of other major corporations. From 2006 – 2011 Timothy was an employee with Union Square Hospitality Group serving in various capacities of for several of the chains restaurants - The Modern as Host/Reservationists, Hudson Yards Catering as Production Cook and Restaurant Manager at USHG’s Shake Shack – flagship location.
