Timo Hoffmann
Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany
Timo Hoffmann was born september 21st 1989 in Kiel, Germany.
In his childhood, his father was listening to many different music-genres and artists.
From Michael Jackson and Berry White to swing and Orchestral Filmmusic such as Star Trek composed by Jerry Goldsmith.
This gave him the opportunity to grew up with a fresh mind when it comes to Music.
By the age of 9 he received his first lessons on the Piano and Keyboard.
His teacher, who actually was a Filmcomposer teached him not just to play chords and melodies but to find new melodies and already having the next notes in his head while actual playing.
This led him wanting to make music when he was 19.
He started with the production of Hip Hop and RnB beats but always had the demand that he want to create bigger things and things which are sometimes even harder to do.
Because of his fathers passion for orchestral-Filmmusic he started to get interessted in writing Filmmusic.
One day he heard an orchestral piece that made him cry. Impressed by the inner-explosion of emotions he was hooked by the idea of making Filmmusic.
Till now he scored 4 short-movies and two of his projects were reposted by the official Titanfall Facebook-Page (a Videogame, published by EA) and the official Ubisoft "The Division" Homepage.
Both companies claimed his songs as very impressive and professionally made.
Also, he mentioned that he had no professional training or apprenticeship as a film-composer and what you hear if you listening to his music is all self-taught.
"He started making Filmmusic in 2012"
