Teacher, Father, and Yoga in Buenos Aires, Argentina
Growing up in the foothills of Colorado, gave me a sense of adventure and cultural awareness that has ruled my life. I went to three different schools for undergrad: Fort Lewis in Durango, CO, The University of Colorado in Boulder, CO and The American University of Cairo. I was a Biochemistry major with a serious addiction to History. After graduation, I found myself in a surgical pathology lab in Charlottesville Virginia, and shortly after that I became a Histotechnologist. A move to DC followed, and I started to specialize in Dermatohistology, and then...My wife and I joined the Peace Corps and went to Kenya. I was Health Extensionist as well as a Secondary School Teacher. After the Peace Corps, we travelled around the world and settled in DC, where I got my Masters in Secondary Science Education at GWU and began a teaching career at Kennedy High School in Montgomery County, MD. After 5 years in a public school, I decided to try international teaching. I taught for 2 years in China and now 3 years in Argentina.Besides teaching I am also passionate about balloon twisting, ultimate disc, ashtanga yoga, international travel, cooking, hiking, camping, permaculture, and construction.
