Timothy Goosby

President of Cuero Anesthesia and Consulting Timothy Goosby possesses more than 20 years of anesthesia experience. Goosby completed his undergraduate education at Eastern Michigan University and graduated with honors from the University of Michigan, where he studied anesthesiology, before launching his career as a nurse anesthetist. Timothy Goosby assumed leadership of the Wisconsin-based consulting firm in 2002, offering various hospitals his expertise in organizing and implementing anesthesia services. Two years after becoming President of Cuero Anesthesia and Consulting, Timothy Goosby accepted an appointment as Director of Anesthesia for the Northland Campus of the Mayo Clinic Health System.

Responsible for conducting the daily operations of the department, Goosby developed and implemented policies and procedures as well as quality assurance programs. He also drafted new and improved existing documentation, ensuring compliance with the regulations of The Joint Commission. As a Consultant, Timothy Goosby provides clinical anesthesia services in instances of general surgery, urology, orthopedic surgery, obstetrical or gynecological procedures, vascular surgery, organ transplants, and trauma. Goosby offers these services in office practices, freestanding surgical clinics, operating rooms, and pain clinics. He initiated laboring epidural programs in a number of United States hospitals, improving the health of women and children across the nation.

Recently, Timothy Goosby received an invitation by the People’s Republic of China to improve anesthetic practices at hospitals in different parts of the country. Having made initial assessments and recommendations, Goosby is taking lessons in Mandarin in preparation for continuing the task. Timothy Goosby stays up-to-date with developments in his field through participation in professional organizations such as the Wisconsin Association of Nurse Anesthetists, the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA), the American Academy of Pain Management, and the Midwest Pain Society.
