Tim is the Managing Director of the Financial Access Initiative, a research center focused on how financial services can better meet the needs and improve the lives of poor households. He also serves as Executive Partner of Sona Partners, a thought leadership communications firm, and is the founder of Philanthropy Action. Tim has written, collaborated on or edited more than 15 business books from major publishers and is co-author of Toyota Under Fire: Lessons for Turning Crisis into Opportunity which won the 2011 Shingo Prize for research in lean operations. Tim blogs regularly at Stanford Social Innovation Review on philanthropy and social entrepreneurship.
