Accomplished Financial Professional in Wyckoff, New Jersey
As principal of TDGTA, a privately held organization, Timothy Stott of New Jersey draws on more than 30 years of financial services and business leadership experience. He began his career as a member of the trading team at PaineWebber, which he joined in an entry-level position and which rapidly promoted him to more senior roles. Timothy Stott ultimately accepted the role of equity liaison, which required him to communicate time-sensitive market quotes and trading updates between position traders and brokers on the trading floor.
Mr. Stott then relocated to California and became sales manager of Cakebread Cellars Winery. Effective in doubling retail sales and customer visits, he also facilitated a 700 percent increase in distribution to Napa Valley restaurants and wine shops.
Timothy Stott returned to the East Coast in 1997. He served for two years as an equity sales trader with HSBC Bank, where he focused on institutional accounts. He retained his institutional focus as a direct access sales trader on the New York Stock Exchange, after which time he became a professional day trader with his own portfolio. In 2012, he turned his focus to the success of TDGTA.
