Tim was raised in Southern Mexico in the Yucatan; at the age of 10 he moved to Northern California with his parents. At the age of 15 he moved to El Paso, Texas and attended Coronado High School. After attending the University of Texas at El Paso Tim began a career in Therapeutic Recreation for at-risk youth in El Paso and Later Waco, Texas. In 2006 he moved to Austin, Texas to research and write Texas History for the State of Texas as a senior researcher. In 2010 he married his friend and child hood love of 30 years, and now resides in Northern California with her. He has four daughters.
