Tim Rogers
Tim Rogers, RPh, serves as President of Advanced Specialty Pharmacy, a Birmingham, Alabama, firm that offers nuclear pharmacy services and IV sterile product compounding. From 2005 to 2007, he held a position as President of Advanced Home Medical Equipment, Inc., a Bessemer, Alabama, firm providing medical equipment to hospitals and clinics. Prior to leading these two firms, Tim Rogers engaged in various managerial and supervisory positions with major pharmacy companies for a decade and a half. Tim Rogers earned his B.S. in Pharmacy in 1990 at the McWhorter School of Pharmacy of Samford University. This led to an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists hospital pharmacy residency at the Durham Regional Hospital through 1991. Tim Rogers’ emphasis during his residency was on pharmacy administration. From 1992 to 1997, he utilized this knowledge in Director of Pharmacy and Area Manager positions with Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc. (CAPS). Tim Rogers, RPh, subsequently served a two-year term with CAPS as National Director of Quality Assurance and Business Development. He focused on meeting numerous pharmacy regulatory compliance thresholds at the state and federal levels, including adherence to U.S. Food and Drug Administration standards for Good Manufacturing Practices. During the same period, Tim Rogers co-founded his first solo business venture, Advanced Cardiac Solutions, PC, undertaking pharmacist and business development roles within the firm. In 1999, he became Regional Operations Manager of Syncor International Corporation, a company that was acquired by Cardinal Health Nuclear Pharmacy Services three years later. Joining the staff of Cardinal, Tim Rogers, RPh, was promoted to the position of Regional Vice President/General Manager for the southeast region, which entailed management of more than 20 nuclear pharmacy locations with 325 employees, including 72 pharmacists. Annual revenue for the group he directed was $120 million. After Syncor’s acquisition by Cardinal Health Nuclear Pharmacy Services, Tim Rogers was responsible for integrating overlapping operations. He successfully merged the two distinct entities into one thriving pharmacy company, achieving significant earnings and sales growth as well as high customer satisfaction.
