Tim Schmidt recently served as an interim CEO in Fort Smith, Arkansas. In addition to serving as CEO, he has functioned in the CEO position for a number of medical organizations, including Texas’ Laredo Medical Center; Marion, Illinois-based Heartland Regional Medical Center; and Big Spring, Texas-based Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Tim Schmidt prepared for these roles by studying finance at Texas A&M University before earning a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio. He continues to further his skill set and is currently pursuing a license in the field of assisted living and long-term care. He has also engaged in continuing education within the acute care industry.

Outside of his work as a medical administrator, Tim Schmidt supports several Amarillo, Texas-based charities, including the local Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity chapters. In addition to playing golf and hunting elk, Mr. Schmidt occupies his free time with a Vizsla puppy, which he is preparing for a future as a bird-hunting dog.
