Tim Bennett

Tim has enjoyed a career in the professional theatre for over thirty years both in the United States and around the world. He has worked with such diverse groups as the Boston Pops and the Radio City Rockettes and in such celebrated performance venues as The Frankfurt Opera House, Tanglewood and Munich's Olympic Stadium.

Starting his career as an actor, dancer, and singer, Tim quickly found roles in everything from National and International tours (Steel Pier, Phantom opposite Kristin Chenoweth, South Pacific with Robert Goulet, My Fair Lady with Richard Chamberlain) and Emmy Award winning primetime television (Growing Pains) to feature films, commercials, Off-Broadway and daytime drama.

Today, Tim works primarily as a director and choreographer. He enjoys helming a wide variety of theatrical productions including those in regional theatre, live industrials, Shakespeare festivals, the concert stage, and summer stock. Tim was also the resident director of Disney's production of The Lion King in Las Vegas. In addition to his role with The Lion King, Tim's greatest pleasure is collaborating with writers and composers on the creation of new musicals. He is currently developing several new projects ranging from rock musicals to theatrically staged symphonic concerts to a contemporary take on classic vaudeville shows. He is a proud member of SDC, as well as AEA, SAG, and AFTRA.

Tim received a BFA in musical theatre and dance from The Boston Conservatory, and a master's degree in directing from NYU. He is an avid scuba diver, a member of the Civil Air Patrol, and can say "Is that your pie?" in five languages.
