I grew up in a small town in Northern Lower Michigan. After high school I attended Bible college. God then called me to serve Him for 12 years on the mission field in Haiti. I lived in 3 different cities working in 3 different missions: Go Teach Others in St. Marc, Christianville in Gressier, and Sonlight Ministries in Port-de-Paix.

In 1996 I returned to the United States to pursue a computer degree at Western Michigan University. I connected back up with a Bible college crush and we were married in 2000, the same year in which I graduated with a degree in CIS.

I took my dream computer job back near home, bought my first house, and my wife, Anita, and I were expecting our first child when the company went under. We were left without insurance and a job.

God has a funny way of pulling you back to serving Him. The Elders from my home church offered to pay our insurance for working with the children's program. A fulltime position with the church opened up and I've been serving with the Kalkaska Church of Christ since.

Anita and I now have two beautiful, intelligent, Jesus-loving children- Scott & Kaylin.
