Tim Spies
Tim Spies For Salisbury
A strong neighborhood and citizen advocate for over 20 years, I have fought to improve conditions in all neighborhoods in Salisbury through enhanced police presence and education, citizen awareness and property protection strategies and continuing dialogue with the many law enforcement entities that serve us every day, from the State's Attorney to city, county, state and even university police.
As a senior member of the medical department of the United States Navy with over 27 years of hands-on experience in direct management of Navy Fleet Hospital field commands with over 1000 medical and support personnel and assets totaling over $300 million and an annual budget of over $11 million in both peace and war, I bring exceptional powers of observation, decision-making skills, responsibility and willingness to stand to challenges and to stand firm to my decisions to my position as city councilman.
With several years of direct experience in civilian law enforcement, I bring a perspective not enjoyed by other council members, and am able to see from more than one side of law enforcement issues.
Through these past four years, I have been a voice for reason and positive change in Salisbury.
From ideas to support, improve and strengthen legislation and create policy to best protect and promote the health, well-being and growth of our city, its assets and its residents, to personal actions that have resulted in the savings of tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars, my efforts have gone beyond the norm for a city council member, and have been and continue to be fruitful for the taxpayers and residents of Salisbury.
It was a tough decision for me to make to run for the District 3 council seat, but it's one that I made with the same convictions that I did four and a half years ago. Salisbury needs informed and dedicated stewards, good leadership and good decisions made to keep it well afloat and moving toward its destination while it grows in positive character and distinction all along its way.
