Timur Tillyaev is the husband of Uzbek President Islam Karimov's younger daughter Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva. The couple got married in the mid-2000s and have three children.

Lola Karimova-Tillyaeva has been Uzbekistan's envoy to UNESCO since 2008. She also runs two charitable organizations in Uzbekistan, which help orphanages and children with disabilities.

According to her website, Karimova-Tillyaeva was instrumental in launching nationwide reforms to improve the situation in Uzbek orphanages.

The couple reportedly own several boutique shops in Switzerland. Timur Tillyaev is said to have interests in a company which owns the Abu Sahiy market in Tashkent. He is also engaged in business activities in the area of international transportation.

Despite being members of the first family, the couple are not believed to wield any meaningful political influence in the country and are not on the list of people seen as potential successors to the Uzbek president, who has been at the helm of power for more than two decades and doesn't seem to have any clear succession plan in place.
