Tim Van Lew

Program Manager in Boston, Massachusetts

Hello, my name is Tim Van Lew. I am currently a student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst studying Management at the Isenberg School of Management, graduating in May of 2015. With a minor in Psychology, I am mainly focusing on human resources and organizational behavior.

I am from the small town of Pawling, New York, around an hour north of NYC. During my years in Pawling I have been an employee of the local business "Native Landscapes, Inc." for over 6 years. This business thrives on taking a "common sense approach" to landscaping through use of native plants and eco-friendly methods. My thirst for success is evident through my loyalty and commitment which has earned me a great relationship with the company.

Currently, I am working on a start-up company called University Primetime which is a new social media website targeting individual colleges nationwide providing a hub to display campus events and news. Created by a UMass alum, I was introduced to this site via Facebook in October of 2013. After contacting the CEO, I am now a promoter and brand ambassador for the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Ranging from sporting events to live music, to campus news and nightlife, we are quickly becoming the go-to location to find out information for those colleges nationwide.

I consider myself to be opportunistic and achievement oriented. I never settle for less and will do all I am capable of to reach a task or goal. Through my experiences I have gained optimal knowledge of customer service and leadership. My excellent management and interpersonal skills have proven to companies how effective I can be in any environment.
