Bio

I am a tech-driven event professional with a passion for bridging the gap between high-end video production and information technology. Currently serving as Shark Master (Technical Lead) atThe Poolhouse (Corda Campus, Hasselt), I specialize in the integration of IT with live video techniques for physical, hybrid, and online events.

With a Master’s degree in Computer Science (specializing in Data Management), I bring a unique analytical perspective to the event industry. I don’t just operate video; I engineer it. Whether it is programming custom APIs for automation, building custom playout solutions, or designing low-latency IMAG setups, I ensure that technology serves the creative vision of every production.

What I Do

I spearhead technical execution for complex video installations, including:

  • Live Video & IMAG: Expert-level vision mixing and multi-camera captation for events of all scales and formats, inlcuding livestream and local television broadcast.
  • System Integration: Blending software and hardware to create custom solutions, from automated video playout to interactive web apps and analytics for live audiences.
  • LED & Projection: Advanced configuration of LED walls (Novastar expert) and large-scale projections.
  • Hybrid & Remote Production: Connecting multiple event locations via low-latency video links and cloud-based streaming.

Technical Expertise

In the years I discovered my passion, I came accross different hard- and software solutions that I wanted to master.

  • Hardware: Deep experience with Blackmagic Design (switchers, cameras), Roland video switchers, Novastar, and professional broadcast systems (Sony and Panasonic).
